Why the hell don’t I have a multi-meter? Most of the buttons are working.
The Devil you know. I’m installing Windows on my arcade machine. Linux really didn’t like my video card, and I didn’t like that.
Got a new computer for the arcade. Whatever they say, linux still isn’t that easy to use.
Robert says I need to look up Polybius. But whatever I do, I shouldn’t play it.

this guy’s a little silly, but it gets the idea across, and by the looks of it, he’s made dozzons of these things.
macquarium amp
ok, looked into building my own amp some more, and realized i’m just not good enough at electronics yet. instead i’m either going to buy one, or more likely, tear apart some powered computer speakers, use their amp and volume controls, and connect them to the eMac’s speakers. i’m looking for something that’s between 15-18 watts.
hookah hazed
I just spent a few hours in an Arlington hookah bar. I love hookahs now. I want to buy or build a hookah. Plus it’s fun to say hookah.
Concrete QWERTY

Downgrading to web 1.5
slacker DIY is still under construction, but i decided to take away voting for posts. it’s either a self aggrandizing pat on the back, or a less than subtle slap in the face. i’ll be happy enough if anyone reads this stuff. i’m on the fence about comments. i guess they could be good, but the only system i know would work well here is getting pummeled by spam on my other site.
Amp for Maquarium
Chu Moy designed a very popular headphone amplifier that’s easy to build, and it can be built small enough to fit in a pocket, power supply and all.
should work to power the iPod dock/speakers i want to build.

transforming poker table
playing poker. sitting at a big table that started out with 11 people. now down to six, and everyone’s spread out. no-one wants to move b/c of superstition, plus it’s a pain in the ass to move the chips.
how about a table that you can pull a leaf out of? create a smaller table with minimal disturbance?
